Nørhalne Cup 2010
 

Nørhalne Cup – is organized for the 27th time at the Ascension Holiday, in 2010 from May 13th to May 16th. Nørhalne Cup had in 2009 participation from almost 600 teams from 16 countries – Brazil, England, Belgium, Lithuania, Russia, Finland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovakia, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Denmark. At Nørhalne Cup the most important thing is the football and the matches against teams from other countries. Each team play seven matches on beautiful grass pitches.

Nørhalne Cup is two tournaments.

For everyone:
All clubs/teams for boys and girls can enter the classes from 1 to 31. In some classes teams are divided into Level A and Level B.

For elite teams:

Nørhalne Cup is also an elite tournament which is played in 9 classes with some of the best youth teams as participators. We started the elite tournament in 2004 in two classes as Brøndby IF and FC Copenhagen won. Since the elite tournament has expanded to have the present classes with participation from clubs like Amcerica FC and Ferroviario SO from Brazil, English Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion, from Swiss Young Boys Bern, Dutch FC Ado Den Haag, several strong Ukrainian and Czech teams as Scandinavian top clubs as Brøndby IF, FC Copenhagen, AaB, OB, Malmö FF, Helsingborg IF, IFK Göteborg, Hammarby, AIK Stockholm, Stabæk, Frederikstad, HJK Helsinki and many other top clubs as participators.

Nørhalne – is a small village of 1700 inhabitants, situated 15 km north of Aalborg. Idrætsforeningen Fremad Nørhalne has built up Nørhalne Cup to be a tournament as many clubs are attending year after year because the football is first priority. In close cooperation with the clubs in Biersted, Brovst, Brønderslev, Halvrimmen, Jetsmark, Saltum, Gandrup, Vodskov Skovsgaard, Sulsted, Tylstrup, Vadum, Vestbjerg, Aabybro and Aalborg BK are more than 2.500 volunteers helping to give the many young players and leaders a good experience.
Some clubs have taken part 20 times and have already announced their return in 2010.

Arrival and departure – Teams can arrive from Wednesday May 12^th at 17.00 and stay until Sunday May 16^th at 10.00.

Age dispensation – Each team in 11-a-side can include a maximum of three players born up to six months prior to the birth date of the team age group. Each team in 7-a-side can include a maximum of two players born up to six months prior to the birth date of the team age group.

To be allowed age dispensation we need a written request with names and birth dates of the players. All names of players with dispensation will be made public at www.norhalne-cup.dk and the players must be able to identify themselves with passport or other identification at all times during the tournament.

Tournament – The matches start Thursday May 13^th at 9.00 with preliminary matches until 20.00. On Friday May 14^th the intermediate groups are played, and Saturday May 15^th is the day of placing matches and finals.

Meals – Full board from breakfast on Thursday May 13^th to breakfast on Sunday May 16^th.

Accommodation – At schools in Biersted, Brovst, Brønderslev, Halvrimmen, Jetsmark, Pandrup, Vodskov, Gandrup, Saltum, Skovsgaard, Sulsted, Tylstrup, Vadum, Vestbjerg and Aabybro. All participants bring their own mattress and sleeping bag. At all schools snacks and drinks can be purchased.

Bus transport – If you do not have a bus at your disposal you can use the tournament bus system between all schools and fields. There are busses several times per hour and it is free for the participants to use it.

Referees – Only certificated referees are allowed to referee at Nørhalne Cup. At Nørhalne Cup 2009 there were referees from Denmark, Belgium, Brazil, England, Holland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Czech Republic and Germany. Participation Card A: 85 EURO per person. Includes: participation in the tournament, full board from breakfast Thursday May 13^st to breakfast Sunday May 16^th, school accommodation, medals for all players, trophy for all teams, free tournament bus transport

Participation Card B: 100 EURO per person. Includes: participation in the tournament, full board from breakfast Thursday May 13^st to breakfast Sunday May 16^th, school accommodation, medals for all players, trophy for all teams, free tournament bus transport, and entry ticket to Faarup Sommerland (Bus transport not included).

Hotel / Hostel – If you wish to be accommodated at hotel or youth hostel, there are several opportunities. For players and leaders with Participation Card B accommodation at youth hostel with full board are 173 Euro with three nights stay, and 194 Euro with four nights stay.

Groups who make private accommodation will not be accepted.

Camping: Next to the schools of accommodation it is possible to stay in tents or caravans for parents or supporters. This costs 60 Euro per tent or caravan.

Team fee: A fee of 200 Euro per team covers participation in the tournament.
